The LE90R small portable core drill rig is a field-ready drilling system developed for soil investigation, diamond core recovery and geotechnical exploration. Its main components—including the drill head, hoist, hydraulic controls, transmission and mast—are assembled on a strong steel drag skid, creating a compact unit that can be relocated between drilling points.
The rig is available with diesel or electric power to suit different jobsite conditions. A 15 HP diesel engine is the standard option for remote locations, while an electric motor can be selected for sites with a suitable power supply. A four-speed transmission drives both the drilling head and planetary hoist, helping operators match the working speed to changing formations and lifting requirements.
Two hydraulic feed cylinders provide continuously variable feed control and generate an upward force of 5,580 kgf at 103 bar. The drill head can be swiveled to perform vertical or inclined drilling. A variable-volume vane pump supplies hydraulic power, while the 30 L oil reservoir supports stable operation. For easier borehole alignment, the hydraulic slide provides 370 mm of travel, and three drag pulleys assist with onsite repositioning.
