Description
The metering pump dosing system is an integrated chemical preparation and injection unit designed to deliver liquid chemicals into industrial processes at a controlled flow rate and pressure. The complete system combines chemical storage, solution mixing, accurate metering and external delivery in one compact equipment package.
Four-Tank Four-Pump Chemical Dosing System
The system normally consists of a solution tank, agitator, high-precision metering pump, connecting pipelines, valves, instruments, control components and a supporting frame. Its modular design allows the equipment configuration to be adjusted according to the chemical medium, required dosing capacity, discharge pressure and operating conditions.
Depending on the selected metering pump, the system can provide a maximum flow rate of up to 50 m³/h and a maximum discharge pressure of up to 50 MPa. Solution tanks are available with capacities ranging from 0.5 m³ to 20 m³, allowing the system to meet both small-volume chemical dosing and large industrial chemical injection requirements.
The automatic metering pump dosing system supports manual, automatic, local and remote operating modes. It can be manufactured from 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, carbon steel with corrosion-resistant lining or engineering plastics according to the characteristics of the chemical solution.

How the System Works
The chemical solution is first prepared or stored inside the dosing tank. An agitator can be used to maintain a uniform chemical concentration and prevent sedimentation. The metering pump then draws the prepared solution from the tank and injects it into the required pipeline, vessel or treatment system at a controlled flow rate.
According to the project requirements, the dosing process can be operated continuously or intermittently. The dosing amount can also be adjusted to match changes in process conditions, chemical concentration or treatment capacity.

Applications of metering pump dosing system:
1. Water Treatment

The metering pump dosing system can be used to add coagulants, flocculants, disinfectants, acids, alkalis and other treatment chemicals into municipal or industrial water-treatment processes.
2. Wastewater Treatment
It is suitable for chemical neutralization, pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, disinfection and sludge-treatment processes in industrial wastewater plants.
3. Power Plants
The system can be used for ammonia dosing, phosphate dosing and hydrazine dosing in boiler water, feedwater, condensate water and circulating cooling-water treatment systems.
4. Boiler Water Treatment
Controlled chemical injection helps reduce corrosion, scale formation and water-quality problems in industrial boiler systems.
5. Circulating Cooling Water
The system can inject corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, biocides and pH-adjustment chemicals into circulating-water pipelines.
6. Oilfield Operations
It is suitable for adding demulsifiers, dehydrating agents, bactericides, scale inhibitors and corrosion inhibitors during oilfield gathering, transportation and water-treatment processes.
7. Petroleum and Refining
The metering pump dosing unit can deliver process chemicals into pipelines, tanks and treatment systems in petroleum, oil-refining and petrochemical facilities.
8. Natural Gas Processing
It can be applied to chemical injection, corrosion control, water conditioning and other treatment processes in natural gas production and processing facilities.
